The 2026-2027 Satellite CTE Request form has reopened for all programs except Medical Assistant which is at capacity and will remain open until April 5, 2026.
Be sure to enter all of your contact information accurately, as well as your parent/guardian and counselor information.

A Satellite CTE course is a 20 credit, year-long elective at specific high school sites open to any EGUSD 12th grade student.

How do I apply?
Satellite Program Application Information
Students who are interested in an EGUSD Satellite course should fill out an application. The application will open on February 2, 2026 and close February 27, 2026.
Helpful Tips Prior to Applying:
- Review the courses in the Course Catalog for details (dates, time, locations, grade level, etc.)
- Transportation is NOT provided for these courses. You will have to arrange your own transportation.
- Check in with your counselor prior to applying and discuss if this course would be a good fit for you.
- After you submit your application your parents will be contacted for parent approval.
- Make sure that your parents are aware and that they check their email for the approval email.
- Counselor verification will take place after parent approval.

Is transportation provided for students to take these courses?
Transportation is NOT provided. Students will need to arrange their own transportation to and from the school in which the satellite course is offered. The Satellite courses meet every day for the entire school year beginning in August and ending in May.
Can I earn a certificate through the Satellite Program?
Students who complete a Satellite course and demonstrate mastery of core competencies can earn an CTE certificate of completion in some of the offered Satellite courses. See individual course listings for more information.
May adults enroll in a Satellite Course?
No, the Satellite Program is only for currently enrolled EGUSD high school students.

Will I receive credit for taking a Satellite Course?
You can earn elective credits towards graduation for successfully completing a Satellite Course. Some courses meet UC/CSU A-G requirements, while others provide early college credit opportunities aligned with local colleges. See individual course listings for more information.
Which EGUSD high schools will offer Satellite courses in 2026-2027?
Tentatively the schools scheduled to offer satellite courses in the 26-27 school year are Cosumnes Oaks, Elk Grove, Florin, Laguna Creek, Monterey Trail, and Valley High Schools.
